Our Fees

Planning Fee

The travel professionals at On The Map Travel charge an upfront fee of $150 to plan a trip.

This covers any and all of the elements necessary for your trip including:

The $150 planning fee includes one set of revisions (date changes, itinerary changes)
Additional changes and requests are billed at $30 per hour

On individual component bookings we also charge a 10% booking fee.
Inclusive programs do not incur this fee.
Repeat clients are not charged the planning fee.

Travel industry standard commission is 10%. Some suppliers do not pay commission, or pay less than the standard. In these cases On The Map charges the difference between the commission paid and 10%. Private services/transfers are billed at the client’s cost (our commission is included).

Cancellation Fees

On a single price itinerary, cancellation fees are sent out with the Important Information sheets. Though they may vary slightly from destination to destination, they are generally as follows:
Up to 61 days prior to departure: $400
31-60 days prior to departure: 50% of price
Within 30 days of departure: 100% of price

Cancellations must be received in writing and are subject to the following fees per person:

Passport perfect names and information are required to finalize arrangements. Changes in names - including spelling corrections -may require cancellation and rebooking and will incur cancellation fees. Final payment will be required to recreate any booking.

We strongly suggest all travelers purchase a Travel Insurance Plan to protect against cancellation fees.

For travelers using our services (other than a single price itinerary) the cancellation fees are 10% of the total cost of all services booked or $150, whichever is greater.

We accept payment by check. We also accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
