Hiking Italy’s Cinque Terra – An Adventure Experience
9 Days
Summer & FallPerched above the Ligurian Sea on steep, rocky cliffs, the Cinque Terre are an otherworldly combination of wild coastline and rugged mountains, part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List. These colorful fishing villages and mountain hamlets lie on the edge of the coastline between blue skies and turquoise seas - a special corner of Italy that has always captivated travelers, poets and writers. Generations of simple fishermen and farmers have built the seaside cliffs of the Cinque Terra into a stunning garden landscape; every inch of space on these narrow shores has been used. The villages - surrounded by terraced vineyards and olive groves - are the dots that connect a delightful maze of paths overlooking the sea. Truly, the Cinque Terra is the site of some of the most extraordinary walks in Italy. Days on this journey are spent hiking from village to village - exploring Vernazza, Riomaggiore, Corniglia and Manarola - and naturally walking the famous Sentiero dell’Amore (”Lover’s Walk”). Meals are enjoyed at small, local restaurants; other gastromonic adventures include a visit to a wine producer whose dessert wine is one of Italy’s greatest offerings.

Sailing Turkey’s Turquoise Coast
10 Days
Spring, Summer & Fall
The azure waters of the Aegean along Turkey’s coastline are legendary. On this private journey you’ll explore history-rich waters, enjoy relaxing days in the sun and discover ruins in beautiful harbors that were once home to ancient civilizations. Onboard your own gulet, Turkey’s indigenous sea-going vessel, you’ll sail along the coast, into coves, onto beaches and over the seas to small islands, sometime sailing (and swimming and snorkeling) over sunken ruins as you go. With thousands of miles of coastline, Turkey is a treasure chest of coves, inlets, bays and beaches from which yachtsmen can choose a different and always private anchorage each night. This journey from Bodrum along the turquoise Aegean Sea gives you the experience of history from the perspective of the sea, the same as the ancient travelers had. You’ll sail to the private beach of Cleopatra, see mystical Mt. Olympos and explore myriad archaeological remains of ancient civilizations. For lovers of the active life, sailing in these clear waters provides great opportunities for swimming, fishing, skiing, surfing and diving. Most gullets accommodate between eight and twelve people in private cabins; the small group of people on board promotes a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Kayaking in the Galápagos Islands
8 Days
Year Round
Of our many Galápagos tours, this one is perfect for active travelers. The journey is an intimate one, traveling by chartered small yacht, ocean kayak and on foot through azure waters, along lava cliffs, hidden lagoons, quiet coves and white sand beaches. This is the most intimate way to experience the Galápagos archipelago. In the company of a professional sea kayaking guide and an on-board naturalist, each day is spent paddling to different islands from our yacht, exploring the island on foot and by kayak, spending time discovering this natural paradise that Charles Darwin called “a little world within itself”. You’ll be up close to the unimaginably abundant wildlife both while on the islands and while kayaking and snorkeling - ocean encounters often include penguins, sea turtles, marine iguanas and playful sea lions. These islands where creatures have never learned fear of humans offer an authentically unique experience that will forever change the way you think of wildlife and the world.
